This is reflected in the authentic buildings and the characteristic atmosphere of the village. The village is close to Stadskanaal. Here you will find the longest museum railroad in the Netherlands. Hop on for a trip back in time on the border of Groningen and Drenthe! A day out with a steam locomotive of the STAR is a fun day out for young and old. You can board at the Stationsstraat 3 in Stadskanaal after which you will be taken to the end station in Veendam via Bareveld and Wildervank. You can also choose to board in Veendam and travel to Stadskanaal.
