Camping with a dog
Would you like to enjoy a nice vacation at a campsite in the beautiful countryside of Drenthe but not without your four-legged friend? No worries, dogs are allowed on our campsite.
- Dogs of campers are allowed on all camp sites and in the 2-person Birch studio
- Dogs of visitors are not allowed
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at the campsite
- Dogs may only be walked outside of the grounds
- Poop bags are available at 2 points on the site
Our house rules
Camping with dogs is allowed on all places at our campsite in Drenthe. However, you must walk your dog outside the campsite and your dog must be on a leash at all times. Fortunately, nature is not far from our campsite and your dog can enjoy himself there! Please note: Visitors' dogs are not allowed on our campsite.

In addition, dogs are also allowed in one of our rental accommodations: the BerkenStudio. When furnishing these studios, extra space was created for pets. The Birch Studios are also fully equipped: they have their own shower, toilet and sink and have a box-spring bed, a kitchen with veranda and a sunshade. These studios also have their own refrigerator. Great to keep a refreshing snack for your dog.

In addition, dogs are also allowed in two 4-person chalets. These chalets have a covered veranda with dog fence. These rental chalets are fully equipped: they have their own shower, toilet and washbasin and have a double bed, two single beds and a kitchen. You will also find your own fridge in these chalets. Great for storing a refreshing snack for your dog.

Large selection of pitches
At Camping de Berken you have a choice of several spacious pitches. Close to our tent pitches, you will find a central water tap, so nice to quench your dog's thirst. The camper pitches and comfort pitches even have their own water tap. In addition, Camping de Berken has 36 comfort pitches with private sanitary facilities. Dogs are also allowed on these pitches. So you can combine the camping feeling with the luxury of your own sanitary facilities.

Or would you rather go to the National Landscape Drentsche Aa? The nature reserve around Camping de Berken is ideal for campers with a dog. There are even areas where your dog is allowed to run free. Do you prefer cycling with your dog? That is also possible near our campsite.
